Mid-Mo reaches milestone: all four ambulances now offer ALS care

The Mid-Mo Ambulance District reached an important milestone on November 1, 2026, marking the first day that all four of the district's ambulances were staffed and equipped to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care.
This accomplishment represents another significant step forward in the district's ongoing commitment to improving emergency medical services throughout the communities it serves in Morgan and Moniteau Counties.
Providing ALS capability on all four ambulances means greater access to advanced emergency medical care across the district's extensive rural service area. In a region where geography, distance, and extended transport times can present unique challenges, expanding access to advanced prehospital care is an important investment in the health and safety of our communities.
This milestone did not happen overnight. It is the result of continued progress, planning, investment, recruitment, training, and the dedication of the men and women who serve Mid-Mo every day.
"Progress doesn't always happen in one giant leap. Sometimes it happens one decision, one improvement, one new opportunity, and one day at a time. November 1 represents how far we've come and what is possible when we continue moving forward together."
Mid-Mo Ambulance District recognizes that there is still work to be done. The needs of our communities continue to evolve, and so must the services we provide. Our commitment remains focused on strengthening our capabilities, supporting our employees, and ensuring our communities have access to the highest level of emergency medical care we can provide.
November 1 was more than just another day on the calendar. It was a milestone in the continued evolution of Mid-Mo Ambulance District.
Progress is being made day in and day out, and we are just getting started.
Mid-Mo Ambulance District — "Excellence is our Responsibility."
